Bridges & Crowns
Dental bridges and crowns are dental restoration used to restore the health and function of our Vancouver patient's smiles.
Named for the way that they “bridge” the gaps left by missing teeth, a bridge is permanently attached to the adjacent teeth so you do not need to be concerned about its moving when you talk or eat.
If your missing teeth make you feel self-conscious, or you’re noticing problems with speaking, chewing, or other everyday tasks, ask Dr. Derek Clease if a bridge may be right for you.
A crown, or cap, is a tooth-like covering placed over a carefully prepared pre-existing tooth or implant.
It can support the tooth when there is no longer sufficient tooth structure left to place a filling.
Crowns may also be used to protect the structure of a tooth that is fractured, broken or has had a root canal, and can be attached to bridges or implant.
Crowns serve to strengthen and restore the tooth as well as to improve the appearance of the tooth in terms of both color and shape.
